Want to visit the chapel?
The chapel is open to all — pilgrims, on foot and by car, hikers, and anyone seeking a quiet place. Just send us a message on Instagram if you wish to visit the chapel, and we will make sure the chapel is opened for you.
While visiting
- Treat the chapel with respect and maintain a quiet atmosphere.
- The altar is reserved for the celebration of Mass.
- Please leave liturgical items and furniture where they are.
- Any photos taken should preserve the reverence and respect of the chapel.
You are still warmly welcome to look around the chapel, take photos, write a message in the guestbook, and take a copy of the Our Lady of Gudbrandsdalen card! In the future, we hope to have a water station, toilet, and a pilgrim stamp for visiting pilgrims.
The chapel is Catholic and reserved for Catholic liturgies, but all are welcome regardless of which church community you belong to.
If you wish to celebrate Mass
- Bring your own priest, or ask the chaplain (Fr. Mathias) if he is available.
- Let us know in advance so we can prepare the necessary equipment.
- Feel free to use the equipment available, but please put everything back and tidy up for the next visitors.
